ALMUDENA CORAZÓN
Experience changes what you notice

Almudena Corazón has built a career across business strategy, family business, executive advisory, reputation and positioning, international commerce, emerging technology, organizational complexity, and human performance.

The significance of that breadth lies not simply in the environments in which she has worked, but in how she operates within complexity.

She reads situations quickly.

She identifies signals and implications that can be easy to overlook.

She connects information across business, people, reputation, relationships and circumstances.

She anticipates where attention may be required.

She translates that understanding into strategy, practical action plans, and disciplined execution.

This ability has taken her from a multigenerational business environment in Madrid to international commerce, entertainment, and media in Los Angeles; entrepreneurship and executive advisory in New York; independent strategic assignments across markets and organizations; and the development of Systemic Connection from her current base in Connecticut.

MADRID | AN EARLY EDUCATION IN BUSINESS

Almudena's understanding of business began within her family's multigenerational business environment and the closely connected community of generational businesses surrounding Madrid's historic Plaza Mayor.

From childhood, she was exposed to the intersection of commerce, ownership, family relationships, reputation, and continuity.

Her commercial education also extended beyond Spain.

She traveled throughout Europe from an early age with her father and members of the family company's team, attending fashion weeks, trade fairs, and industry conventions in cities including Paris, Milan, Venice, and Berlin.

The objective was commercial: observe international trends, emerging technologies, products, competition and consumer behavior, then determine what might be relevant to the business in Madrid.

That environment helped develop an instinct that would remain throughout her career: look beyond what is immediately visible, recognize meaningful signals, and understand what they may indicate about what comes next.

LOS ANGELES | COMMERCE, MEDIA & A CHANGING DIGITAL WORLD

After studying Business and Marketing at ESIC Business & Marketing School in Spain, Almudena continued her education in Global Marketing, International Trade and Commerce through UCLA Extension.

Her professional experience in Los Angeles crossed international commerce, entertainment and multicultural media, including Avis, Maya Entertainment and People en Español at Time Inc.

As an independent consultant, she also contributed to Yahoo en Español during an important period in the development of Spanish-language digital search, helping localize and develop information for Spanish-speaking users.

The experience placed her inside a fundamental transformation in the relationship between information, technology, audiences, and reputation.

As digital information became increasingly influential, Almudena became interested not simply in the technology itself, but in what it meant strategically.

  • How would people find information?
  • Who would influence what they found?
  • How quickly could a narrative travel?
  • And what would that mean for businesses and individuals whose reputations had previously been shaped primarily through traditional channels?

Those questions became increasingly central to her work.

NEW YORK | BUILDING AN ADVISORY PRACTICE

In 2010, Almudena founded her consulting practice in New York.

Her work developed around business strategy, digital transformation, reputation, communications and professional positioning.

Robert L. Dilenschneider, founder of The Dilenschneider Group, became one of her early clients.

Dilenschneider initially retained Almudena as an external advisor to strengthen his digital positioning and develop greater fluency in the rapidly changing digital communications environment.

At a time when digital media was beginning to create new reputational challenges for established leaders and organizations, Almudena was brought in to help bridge the gap between traditional strategic communications and the emerging digital environment.

What began as an external advisory relationship resulted in her recruitment to The Dilenschneider Group, where she went on to lead the firm's digital strategy function.

Her work placed her at the intersection of executive reputation, digital strategy, strategic communications and high-stakes reputation management, within an advisory environment serving senior executives and organizations across New York, Washington and Chicago.

It also provided early exposure to international crisis communications and the speed at which digital information could amplify reputational events across markets and stakeholders.

The experience strengthened a capability that would become increasingly important throughout her independent work: understanding how changes in the information environment alter reputation, influence, and strategic decision-making.

STRATEGIC JUDGMENT IN PRACTICE

Following The Dilenschneider Group, Almudena expanded her independent advisory practice across increasingly complex situations.

Clients retained her for assignments involving reputation, professional positioning, financial stability, family-business dynamics, succession, conflict, leadership transition, international positioning, and business continuity.

Rather than becoming a collection of unrelated specialties, these assignments strengthened a consistent advisory capability: understanding what is influencing an outcome when several forces are operating at once.

Her role frequently required identifying the issue beneath the presenting problem, connecting information that was being considered separately, and converting that understanding into an actionable path forward.

Equally important was execution.

For Almudena, strategic integrity means maintaining alignment between the stated objective, the decisions made to support it, and the actions that follow.

SELECTED ADVISORY EXPERIENCE

REPUTATION & PROFESSIONAL REPOSITIONING

Almudena has advised senior professionals navigating significant reputational disruption and its consequences for credibility, future opportunity, and financial stability.

Her work has encompassed strategic positioning, digital presence, communications and longer-term professional direction.

In one engagement, an advisory relationship with a senior financial-services executive began during her time at The Dilenschneider Group and continued independently after she left the firm.

The objective extended beyond managing negative information. It involved rebuilding the conditions for professional credibility and future opportunity.

FAMILY BUSINESS REPUTATION & CONTINUITY

Almudena has advised a New York family business facing a significant reputational event involving a family member.

The challenge extended beyond public perception.

Family relationships, business reputation, digital presence and continuity were interacting simultaneously. Her work included strategic communications, digital positioning and broader business considerations, in collaboration with The Dilenschneider Group, while helping determine a credible path forward for the family and the business.

SUCCESSION, LOSS & INTERNATIONAL GROWTH

In Spain, Almudena advised a hospitality family business navigating aging founders, next-generation succession and future growth.

An unexpected death within the family significantly altered the environment around international expansion plans, creating simultaneous questions about leadership, management, family relationships, and future direction.

The engagement reinforced an understanding central to her work today:

Succession changes more than leadership. It can change authority, relationships, expectations and the position of individuals across an entire business family.

INTERNATIONAL POSITIONING & AFFAIRS

Almudena's independent work has also included entrepreneurs and international thought leaders operating across business, institutional and social-impact environments.

In 2015, this included advising Manav Subodh, founder of 1M1B, around strategic positioning and international affairs.

These engagements expanded the environments in which she applied the same underlying capability: understanding how positioning, stakeholders, relationships, ambition and execution influence one another.

ENTREPRENEURIAL & PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE

Almudena has advised entrepreneurs and professionals navigating periods when financial pressure, fragmented priorities, personal circumstances, or behavior interfered with professional objectives.

Her work has focused on restoring strategic focus, strengthening accountability and decision-making, improving professional positioning and developing practical structures for execution and greater financial stability.

These assignments expanded her understanding of performance beyond conventional business strategy.

A strong strategy cannot compensate indefinitely for behavior that contradicts the objective it is intended to achieve.

FAMILY BUSINESS | REPUTATION ACROSS GENERATIONS

Almudena's family-business work brings together her earliest business experience and much of her later professional expertise.

Her perspective encompasses not only business strategy and succession, but the interconnected reputational environment surrounding a business family.

The business has a reputation.

The family has a reputation.

Individual leaders have reputations.

The next generation is developing its own professional identity.

Community involvement communicates something about what the family represents.

And increasingly, all of these exist simultaneously online.

For family businesses and the wider family-office advisory ecosystem, Almudena's work can therefore extend into strategic oversight of how family, business, individual leaders, next generation, and community impact are positioned as an interconnected reputation system.

Her earlier expertise in digital strategy and reputation is not separate from her current family-business work.

It has become increasingly relevant to it.

FROM STRATEGY TO SYSTEMIC INTELLIGENCE

As the situations Almudena advised became more complex, she expanded her professional development across conflict resolution, behavioral approaches, systemic work, family dynamics, and organizational systems.

These disciplines did not replace her business background.

They expanded what she was capable of seeing within a business problem.

Her work increasingly focused on questions conventional strategy could not always answer:

  • Why can a sound strategy fail during execution?
  • How does authority influence whether leadership is accepted?
  • How can family relationships influence commercial decisions?
  • What happens when professional success changes someone's position within a family or organization?
  • Why can highly capable people perform differently under different circumstances?
  • How can factors that appear unrelated combine to influence the same outcome?

These questions became central to the development of her work around Systemic Intelligence.

PROFESSIONAL VISIBILITY & ADVANCEMENT

Human performance became another natural extension of the same inquiry.

Almudena is particularly interested in ambitious professionals whose capability is not yet reflected in their professional position, visibility, or financial stability.

This includes professionals navigating disability or significant physical limitations.

Her work in this area does not focus on disability compliance or legal requirements.

It focuses on the individual as a capable professional:

  • Agency
  • Professional positioning
  • Visibility
  • Leadership capacity
  • Decision-making
  • Performance
  • Financial stability

Her own experience navigating significant physical limitations later in her career provided another perspective on the relationship between capability and circumstances.

For institutions, the corresponding opportunity is to identify and develop professional potential that may otherwise remain underrecognized.

This creates a distinct application of Systemic Connection around Professional Visibility & Advancement, serving ambitious individuals and organizations interested in developing human capability and professional growth.

CONNECTICUT | THE CURRENT CHAPTER

Almudena is now based in Connecticut, within reach of New York City, while maintaining an outward-looking and internationally informed practice.

Her work in Connecticut has expanded her proximity to families, educational environments, young people and community institutions, creating additional applications for Systemic Connection across professional development, youth performance and institutional programs.

Her principal advisory focus remains on family businesses, senior leaders, ambitious professionals and organizations navigating consequential decisions, transition and performance.

SYSTEMIC CONNECTION THE INTEGRATION

Systemic Connection brings together a career spent understanding how business, people, information, reputation, relationships and systems influence outcomes.

Its three pillars are:

AGENCY

Position, responsibility, influence, boundaries and choice.

SYSTEMIC INTELLIGENCE

The ability to read the wider environment, connect relevant information, recognize what is influencing an outcome, and anticipate where attention may be required.

PERFORMANCE

The ability to convert clarity and strategic judgment into intentional action, disciplined execution and meaningful results.

Today, Almudena applies this perspective through strategic advisory, consulting, programs and workshops.

EXPERIENCE CHANGES WHAT YOU NOTICE

The objective is not to make complexity sound complicated.

It is to read it well enough to determine what matters.

  • What is changing?
  • What are others missing?
  • What is influencing the outcome?
  • What deserves attention now?
  • What are the consequences of acting, or failing to act?
  • What needs to happen next?

YOUR POSITION CHANGES WHAT BECOMES POSSIBLE
